Theatre in Cork: 1983

During 1983, the Everyman Playhouse celebrated 21 years since the establishment of Cork's Everyman Theatre. Some of the highlights of 1983 included Half Way Up the Tree by Peter Ustinov which previously performed in Cork in 1975. Other highlights of 1983 included Move Over Mrs Markham and Then Moses Met Marcoini which dealt with local and community radio in rural Ireland as well as with attitudes to women in the workplace. The Christmas season included The Wizard of Oz in the Everyman Playhouse and Jack and the Beanstalk in Cork Opera House.
